VSC's Monthly Networking Meetings Page
The Mayors' Advisory Council for Veterans (MACV) has been absorbed into the Veterans Support Council, Inc. (VSC)
VSC/MACV - Continuous Service to Our Veterans Community since 2011Our first MACV meeting (now the VSC Networking Committee meeting) was on January 18th, 2011, at the American Legion Post 500 in Speedway.  We have met on the 3rd Tuesday of every month since 2011 at various locations. When COVID-19 hit us in 2019, we started using ZOOM. Now, every meeting is both in person and on Zoom. Â
City, State & Federal Government Officials & Agencies are Always Welcome
Government officials can and do attend 501(c)(3) meetings for legitimate, official purposes. For example, a government representative can attend a non-profit meeting to: 1) Receive training, 2) Make an agency presentation, 3) Serve on a nonpartisan panel, or 4) Provide technical expertise related to the agency's mission.  To avoid ethical and legal issues, it is crucial for both the government official and the 501(c)(3) to clearly define the purpose of the meeting and ensure it is conducted in a nonpartisan, non-campaign-related manner.   VSC is a Non-Governmental, Non-Political, Non-Profit, IN Corporation that Supports and Promotes Veterans Awareness to our Veterans, Military, and other Community Groups and Organizations. VSC has been an IRS public charity 501 (c)(3) since 2014.   VSC will never ask for money of any kind at our Monthly Networking Meetings.  Any fundraising VSC may do will be at a separate VSC Planning Committee meeting, and not our Monthly Networking Meeting.
VSC's Monthly Networking Meetings InformationWe always meet on the third Tuesday of every month. In September 2025, we began meeting at the Fort Harrison Veterans Center, located at 9450 E 59th Street in Lawrence from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. If you cannot attend in person, Zoom is always available at our meetings by clicking the "Go to VSC's Zoom Meeting" blue button below. | Everyone is always welcome
Congratulations to MACV for 10 years of service to our Veterans Services community.
Because of COVID-19 our event scheduled for 2010 never took place.Â
Our 10th Anniversary event is scheduled for September 2026 at the White RIver State Park.
